I wonder if Musk cannot detect irony. He kicks people off Twitter or fires them with no warning or process at all for making fun of him or arguing with him, then accuses Apple of not supporting "free speech" because he doesn't like Apple policies that apply to all apps in their store. Did Tim Cook take away Musk's iPhone and Macbook for complaining about Apple on Twitter?

Wasn't it just yesterday that Musk said Twitter will make its own smartphone if Apple and Google kick Twitter out of their app stores? No doubt that will happen "sometime next year" and rack up another huge success for Musk, who knows way more about social media and smartphones than anyone else alive.

This looks like the movie trope strategy of picking a fight with the biggest kid on the first day of school. Also good distraction from actual problems at Twitter, where getting kicked out of the Apple app store hasn't actually happened but failing to make payroll has.

Have you got any sources for people Musk has kicked off twitter?

The people you've linked to were all banned on twitter for impersonation, in contravention of a rule that predated Musk's acquisition. They were banned for pretending to be someone they are not, not for making fun

Twitter started more aggressively enforcing the rule after the rollout of paid verification.

There are plenty of people on twitter who make fun of and/or disagree with Musk... including the engineers that publically disagree(d) with him

Seems like that point only applies to the first link? More than a couple of accounts I follow have been banned in the last weeks for just making jokes about Tesla or Elon.

But it isnt, I would say, conspiratorial or personal, its just galvanized fan boys reporting accounts. And I assume with the diminished staff they are just airing on the side of banning then going through thorough reviews or whatever. Which is still pretty bad.
