What do you do with the data you collect, and why should anybody let you do so?
How does anybody know you won't sell this information or "share" it with "partners"?
Will you say "Judicial warrant or GTFO" if Uncle Sam shows up with a subpoena or a national security letter and demands records?
If my wife and I were in our twenties or thirties, we wouldn't want to use something like this to make appointments with her OB/GYN lest the information be used to police her over healthcare in which neither the state or God Himself has any legitimate interest.
I know that sounds paranoid. I'd agree if the US wasn't looking at another Trump administration and at least two years of Republican control of Congress.
This app is inherently untrustworthy given the political climate.
We collect only what’s necessary to make calls, create tasks, and handle the services you use. No fluff, no unnecessary tracking.
Also, users also have the option to delete history related data quickly at any time (e.g. transcripts, summary, tasks details)
Further, your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and we don’t sell or share it with anyone. Hence, why the service is not free.
Good point about Judicial Warrants, we will implement an autodelete so that if the user didn't delete their data within X days, it gets deleted automatically. Hence, when Warrant comes, we are sorry we don't have the data anymore.
No you don't sound paranoid. I build this app for a personal need initially and also due to privacy concerns. I am too busy and unfortunately health conditions of my son required multiple appointments every week since he was born.
I explored alternative such Virtual Assistants (there are many you can google for them) but I wasn't comfortable with having my data shared with another Human and they make the call on my behalf. You can control server, machine to delete data but you can't know what another human is doing with your data no matter what the company does. Also they were very expensive

Nice.
Have you considered HIPAA compliance, as well?

That's rough, man. I had to be my wife's main caregiver when she had breast cancer, and making sure she got the care she needed wasn't easy.

Sry, to hear that and I hope that she recovered already. I can imagine how hard it was you. It is pretty rough for me also but that's life unfortunately it hits sometimes with much harder that we can support, but need to keep up.
I'm not surprised, and frankly this has been happening in the US for years. Every time some guy goes apeshit with an AR-15, we chalk it up to "mental illness", but it looks more like "revenge on society" to me.
Likewise election results that incumbent parties didn't see coming, but might have if their reason was not clouded by complacency and groupthink.
I was just about to mention that we already have this.
Though, frankly, if all of your income is W2 and you haven't fucked up your W4, you shouldn't have to file at all. If you're a W2 wageslave, the government knows how much you get paid, how much you pay in taxes, and whether you owe extra or have a refund due. Having to file a tax return in situations like that is just bureaucratic bullshit.
When was the last time you had a break, let alone an honest to Crom vacation?
It sounds like you're thoroughly sick of your work, but can't or won't consciously admit it even to yourself, so your body is staging a wildcat strike.
I've been developing software for over twenty years, and when this happens to me I get the hell away from computers for a bit.
I started doing some side activities (gym, theater, creative writing) etc but haven't taken time of in... years? (i use my PTO from work to study for uni exams)...
I also lift, and I've written and published some fiction that's basically Hawkmoon on a Harley, but when I get as burned out as you seem to be, I can't do anything resembling intellectual or creative work.
Or, rather, I can, but just slowly and half-assed.
It sounds like you need at least a weekend where you do absolutely nothing, like post-hypnotic Peter Gibbons in Mike Judge's 1999 accidental documentary Office Space. Just sleep. It sounds like you're worn the hell out.
It also sounds like you're killing yourself to live.
I should think about it soon enough... exam season is closer than ever... shit i do wish to go on top of a mountain and never come back doe... Kaczynski style (with less bombs)
No bombs, of course, because while a bullet can have your name on it, AOE damage is addressed "to whom it may concern" and I don't want to hurt some poor schmuck who didn't have it coming. Though if a Republican annoys me I might mail them some Anthrax albums. See what they make of Persistence of Time or Among the Living.
I would expect with the judiciary we have now, the expectation is that it will sell to Microsoft who have built Edge on top of blink/v8. My frustration with this is that Microsoft faced this in Europe with IE at the turn of the century and we did nothing to stop it in the US now it feels like we want them to monopolize browser pick up Google's search scraps and monopolize PC OSes too without any repercussion. While Google can't have two of the 3. Seriously, what sexual favors did they provide to keep dodging this for 50 years? Is it okay for them because they're not always successful? Or because their founders were white Americans?
