Great add jonmc12. This article might not appear relevant to HN, but the financial situation we are currently in will be looked back at like the robber barons of the 19th century.

It is startling that Paulson touts that $800 billion of tax payer dollars were needed to "free up the credit markets" and we find out they went right back to the casino.

I think he is trying to be sarcastic.

Resizes the browser, too. Why would anyone do that in 2009?

Why would any browser let it in 2009?

Dear browser, you are my electronic advocate, not the website's. Act in my interest, not someone elses.

Firefox preferences -> Content -> Javascript|Advanced ; uncheck whatever you want to disallow. You probably could make similar change in other browsers.

Indeed. And proud of it.

Very difficult to believe (even rationalizing a success bias) that 60% are generating $1,000-$10,000 when 55% have costs of less than $1,000.

Trafficlight, this is some really good stuff you got going. Keep it up! Especially Topography of the Sun

I like the production value, but I think it's past time we put 'Amen Brother' out to pasture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SaFTm2bcac

I disagree. I believe its discovery and wide use turns it into a respectable genre. Its use shouldn't be looked down upon any more than the use of the blues progression.

Most of his articles are great examples of web design that greatly enhance a reader's experience. I think that the importance of good design is often overlooked. I've always admired the design of YC startups, which I believe has made for more enjoyable experiences. After all, design is one of the three things YC mentions.

"How do we choose who to fund? The people in your group are what matter most to us. We look for brains, motivation, and a sense of design. Experience is helpful but not critical."

No, you are not.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with many of your points. The 18.3% was the click through rate from the article.

@dcurtis is a professional. I'm an amateur.
