The name is not a good choice I believe as Atlassian's CI system is called the same.

Hi sz4kerto, writer of bamboo here, I agree that the name's clashing with other tools' names makes it a poor choice. Because bamboo was a prototype and initially for internal use we did not do a lot of name research and were not aware of those other tools when we chose the name, maybe we will rename it once it hits beta.

We chose the name bamboo because it uses pandas as the processing engine.

Also conflicts with BambooHR[1]. It'd be conceivable that a tech shop use all 3.

They also have Stash, which is named after the "git stash" command. I guess we can just call the CI system, Atlassian Bamboo.

Yes, and while Atlassian's Stash bears the same name as the git command, bamboo.io has nothing to do with continuous integration or Wacom tablets or any such related software. I'm going to keep calling Bamboo bamboo and if I ever need to refer to this project, I'll call it bamboo.io.

Wacom also has a whole product line called bamboo. Not software though, but still a common name in tech.

Well, most good names are taken. Atlassian Bamboo is not that popular anyway.
