I hate the Google News custom scrollbar also, but I don't want my scrollbar to hide, let my browser present the scrollbar, or better yet, my OS. Don't give me something new just because you don't like the look of the scrollbars on your page. Deal with it.
I told myself over and over that I must be stupid, because Those People Know What They're Doing even though it didn't make a lick of sense to me. Being wrong never felt so right, or something. What a strange application that was.
