Why not just call the gym in question? I've had numerous accounts with recurring charges, but I've never dealt with them by changing account or card numbers.

Have you ever attempted to cancel a Gym membership? It is near impossible.

Why? I've had to switch between a few different gym companies over the years and never had any trouble.
