I'm in the process of shifting my machines from Linux to FreeBSD because I'm not a fan of the development direction that the Linux ecosystem has been taking. I am very happy to have an alternative to Linux.

I've used FreeBSD on my servers since about 2000. I used it on my desktop too until about five years ago, when I switched to Ubuntu mainly so I could play games from GOG. I keep thinking about going back, though.

I'm not much of a gamer, but do enjoy a few from GOG. My plan to to run Linux in a VM for those games.

OpenBSD is great as well if you haven't tried it.

Yes, I have. It's a fully worthy option as well.
