i'd really like to get rid of xslt, but that requires rebuilding the complete admin interface from scratch.
alternatively the xslt bindings could be pushed upstream into pike so we don't have to maintain them and the server can be built without a C compiler.
(i am currently working on fixing the TLS issue during which i was reminded how libxml2 is a moving target, and its bindings require updating with every minor version.)
