The study conducted by Furniture At Work reveals that over 2.5 million British employees admit to workplace theft, ranging from food to electronics and money, as disclosed by interviews with 1,000 working Britons. This rise prompts a surge in demand for secure office storage. Approximately 12 percent of employers report thefts, with common stolen items including pens, stationery, and even money and phones. Notably, a quarter of workers justify theft due to perceived retaliation from colleagues. The legal profession tops the list of 'thieves,' with 25 percent admitting to stealing, followed by marketing and PR employees at 20 percent.
