I’m not sure that private firms are much better. Especially if the work they are doing has been contracted out to them.



I think it’s a different calculation in smaller companies or companies where employees have equity. “I make money if the business is successful” tends to remove a lot of bullshit you see in larger corporations and civil service.


I wonder if anyone ever compared partnerships and privately owned businesses of comparable size for management "bloat".
