got to keep these subsidies going - need at least 10 years worth, in order to lower the price of EV's so average consumer can be buy them. In parallel, there needs to be a national plan to roll out charging infrastructure throughout the country. It's an expensive, long term investment which needs to survive at least two election cycles, but it will be worth it
