openAI recently updated their “company structure” page to include a note saying the Microsoft deal only applies to pre-AGI tech, and the board determines when they’ve reached AG



This likely won’t fly bc I think the definition of AGI is not subject to the opinion of a single company. Microsoft could take this to court and win.


What would the definition of AGI even be, and who would even be the authoritative definer? There's long road ahead. We're working without any statutes or case law.
