"Luckily for Jake, the FDA and IRB will protect him from being one of the 2 in 10,000 patients who died from a fecal transplant by denying him this potentially life-saving therapy so that he could have a 99%+ chance of dying from his cancer. I feel safer."

I sense insincerity. This policy seems to deviate from "first do no harm" in the case of someone with aggressive cancer, where it should be interpreted as "first get out of the way".

If you're looking for a great opportunity for a significant-if-non-unicorn SAAS business, please go back and read this series. There are many lives to be saved and livings to be made from improving the information about clinic trials available to patients.

Preach.
