Social attenuation.

As in this being natural phenomena of exhausted use of language on the internet where in VAD model reached peak performance leaving us with a desensitized population?

Could fall into both categories of good defensive approach while not seemingly branching into apprehensiveness during day to day interactions.

Also, could be bad if complacency priches-up, and gets clipped without noticing.

Thoughts?

1. Cool read. Thanks for sharing. The graphics are awesome.

2. I think it's weird that Texas and Arizona are in the mix when it appears many people are victim of microtargeting in those areas.

3. I'm reading about Threatcasting as a means of preparing for future scenarios, yet we are very much still impacted by the "Trump effect." It's worrisome to think that the people who would be owning the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and defender roles are the very same individuals impacted by the "Trump effect." How can one expect to be a defender when they can't see they are the contagion?

I agree the graphics are above bar for a GOV report.

From my limited understanding many of the HVI contributors listed have experienced microtargeting themselves.

Many may have been duped into thinking they were doing the right thing by relaying seemingly benign messages however the total effect of the "dog pile" was pure terror from the HVI's perspective.

The subversion process is guided from completely benign and friendly conversation through one small compromise at a time. The automatic nature of human interaction is then exploited from a series of reflexive controls and forced decisions that completely undermined the HVI.

To your point... an unbiased write up on the Trump effect that avoids demonizing a single individual.
