Top kek.

The motto of the time was "Avoid success at all costs".

Now there's the Haskell foundation: https://haskell.foundation/vision/

When I saw the title, I thought it must be from The Onion.

Despite being from 2010, I think the article's still relevant. Anyway, I can assure you that the programmer in question is not me.

It's clearly written in the Onion's style.

This is the guy who wrote the "dread pirate Bezos" post about AWS right? Glad I found his blog again (now on Medium).

He also wrote the Google platforms rant:

https://courses.cs.washington.edu/courses/cse452/22wi/papers...

which is still pretty relevant today, imo.

Interesting rant. I had to laugh about this:

> We’re, like, 99% Arrogance-Free. I did start this post – if you’ll reach back into distant memory – by describing Google as “doing everything right”.

- which doesn't sound arrogant at all. And then he goes on to describe how Google is essentially too arrogant to let users set a default font size in fucking Chrome. I don't use their spy tentacle and don't know whether they relented since, but it's just too funny.

Ah, that was the post I was thinking of, I think.

Thanks!

It should probably have [2010] in the title

I had to check release dates and sure enough I can’t discount the possibility the post is making a Red Dead Redemption (1) joke.

I think this is what's called a constructive proof of existence.
