Your flaw is confusion of coercion for enticement.

If you intend to entice, then offer greater reward, and less punishment, in all things.

That is your chief flaw. The punishment is too much. I understand why.

I feel great regret that we did not extend our "Marshall Plan" to your most deserving nations in their need.

That was unfair, and unwise in the extreme.

On the other hand, why is it so difficult to convince anyone of how good our lives are now, and how much we don't want to spoil it?

Is this so unreasonable?
