Quoting: "The social rules are lightweight. You should not be afraid of breaking a social rule. These are things that everyone does, and breaking one doesn’t make you a bad person."

They point out and warn against actions that are sometimes very second-nature; many people doing it to each other.

These are succinct guidelines and seem like a good idea to try to incorporate every day also.


I like this version:

Bob: What’s the name of the string copy function?

Alice: Strncpy.

Eve: (from across the room) You should use strlcpy. It’s safer.

Bob, Alice (in unsion): Thanks Eve!

Alice: I'm glad we have designated backseat drivers.
