I really love Qubes. I've tried to run it a few times and it's not _quite_ there for daily use relative to Arch, at least for me, but the "simplicity" of the OS in terms of VMs is actually something I still miss.
For example, I can make a new VM to hold everything related to a "project" that I'm working on all in one place, and then I can suspend that VM when I'm done. Right now, I have 500+ tabs in Firefox open, but with Qubes I was able to "suspend" Firefox in the VM along with my IDE + terminal. It was awesome.
What has stopped me has been the fact that I operate with a Laptop and I couldn't quite get power management working as well as I hoped. Even simple stuff like not having the fans on at 100% was a challenge (it was on Arch too, but it was fixable with some AUR utilities that weren't as easy to get into Dom0 in Qubes).
Anyway, bravo to the Qubes team and please keep it up!
