Does this mean that EVs are assembled 30% more efficiently? If so, wow, what an enormous leap! And manufacturers have been looking to cut assembly costs for years, turns out they just needed to build a different type of car.


No, it means 30% more tasks in creating an ICE are resistant to being automated, requiring a human or group of humans to do the job.


Sweet. I lived through the 1980s obsession with automation that ended up backfiring on GM. Great to see it’s working now.
