The plural of lego is lego. Except in America apparently.

I have so many questions … main one being in a world where “free” is synonymous with privacy violation, is there something I should be concerned about here?

Are they making money some how?

Who?

I’m just so blown away by this, but such a jaded old cynic I’m not sure if there isn’t a way this will be used to hack my email or eavesdrop on my noises or something …

Awful. Truly awful. So much of today's world reduces humans to playing a bit part in their own existence.

There are a lot of deeply awful things in the world, but I don't really understand how this is one. Don't know what pieces you have/want to get an idea of where to start? Use the app, but then don't follow the generated instructions. Want to enjoy the act of following directions, without needing to buy more kits? Use the app as intended. Want to build things from your imagination instead of instructions? Just don't use the app.

I explained why its awful.

Whatever do you mean by "dont know what pieces you have" or "want to enjoy the act of following directions". This is vintage HN absurdity.

Only your last point is not nonsense. Dont use the app.
