In the shown video where the car tries to run through a gate, wouldn’t that likely not have been an issue if they used lidar? I know there’s a lot of work on machine vision and that it has lots of potential; but if lidar is even 5% safer, and you’re worried about getting into a car accident wouldn’t you buy anything else than a Tesla when it comes to autonomous driving?
