Reddit likely has a much higher fraction of throwaway or secondary accounts. RES has an account switcher for a reason



Still, 9% for Reddit vs ">50%" for Facebook is a pretty dramatic difference, even taking throwaway/secondary accounts into consideration.

There must be a quite large fraction of their MAUs who are just random visitors (to meme posts etc) who don't return.
