Detroit's Michigan Central Station Restoration 3D Photo (matterport.com)

Remember going here often with my dad in the sixties. Riding in from Lansing on the train while I was at college at Michigan State in the seventies.

This building is in every photo of Detroit's decline or 'ruin porn' as city residents call it. Ford is really doing a great job of restoring it to serve as headquarters for their self driving car efforts.

The depot is located in a part of Detroit West of downtown called Corktown. The idea is that engineers could chose to live in Corktown and be able to walk or bike to work.

Michigan avenue will be a special autonomous car highway and Ford people will take self driving shuttles back and forth to Ford headquarters in Dearborn.
