There are technologies which are old but still relevant: Java, .Net, Python, etc.

Others, like jQuery, might be in a much more precarious position. The point of the article is avoid these if you can.




Nevertheless, jQuery might support very vital business processes, saves the lifes of hundreds people a day (literally) or Incorporated in something which creates millions every second.

The most crap but working technology might be in places which earn money.


That's fine so long as they pay you accordingly to account for the career hazard.

They probably won't.


Using jQuery is not a career hazard, the web is html, css and javascript. I don't tell my clients that I do React, I tell them that I solve their business problems.
