This is insane. Why do people use MySQL, again?


Yeah, it can get crazy sometimes, but I think it's fun still. What would you suggest that is better?

Why is this "insane"? Or do you just mean the usage of MySQL in general, not the behavior described by the article?


Likely because it's installed on 99.9% of all web hosts and almost every LAMP software uses it.
