I knew it was going to be a rough read when the first paragraph said "Let’s explore in this annotated twitter thread." Maybe it shows my age, but I loathe twitter threads, be they annotated or not. And if you need to annotate a twitter thread, maybe it should have been posted on twitter in the first place.

Colloquial expressions and shorthand generally make a written work harder to comprehend for a broad audience. Broad comprehension and dissemination is generally what you want in written work.
