I had to stop reading at the totem pole part when it became clear the author has no idea what the hell he’s talking about. This is basically weaponized Dunning-Kruger.
I’m not talking about the name he used, I’m talking about the content. Insisting that a dev can be a DBA, or a QA person, or any other support role is a great way to have an extremely shitty DBA, or QA person, or support role. It’s the kind of thing that only a deeply self-centered developer with no clue of the world beyond the tip of his nose would ever say.
