Because I haven't seen it mentioned yet: A Joseph Campbell Companion: Reflections on the Art of Living, by Joseph Campbell and beautifully edited by Diane Osbon.

I can trace much of my life direction back to principles I established for myself while reading this book. My copy is very marked up. :)
