I've never needed to wake up early before at my old job but at my new one I need to start waking up at 7am. How do you manage to shift your sleep schedule?

Honestly the only way to do it is to make yourself wake up when you need to wake up. You deal with sleep deprivation for a few days until you "learn" to fall asleep when you need to.
A lot of experts suggest waking up at close to the same time every day (in other words, also on weekends) to help manage a proper sleep schedule. I can say it works for me!
