Ask HN: Does anybody have any success with NLP sentiment classification?

If yes, can you point me to some resources? I know it's a hard problem and one that hasn't been solved yet, but my domain is very limited.

I just need to classify text as positive or negative. Of course this can't be done with full accuracy.

What approaches have you used? What libraries?

I have a good friend (comp sci PhD) working on this problem, although I don't think her research is published yet. Do you have a blog / site / public notes / anything? Your HN profile is empty.

I'd be happy to pass whatever site you have on to my friend, and she can get in touch and talk shop.

Well, I do write sometimes at http://prag-matism.blogspot.com/ and recently started writing at http://blog.shopyist.com/. But I haven't written anything about NLP yet(guess that's the part your friend would be interested in).

I don't think I would be able to afford someone at this point of time:-). Thanks for pointing out though.
