For the Mac Pro market, their biggest differentiator is that an Apple-branded desktop computer comes with a legal macOS license. That's it. They could just keep selling the "cheese grater" design with updated Intel + NVIDIA guts, and users would be happy. This design conundrum is entirely Apple's own doing.

I would be happy if they reverted to the previous Mac Pro design. It was expandable and looked IMO better than the dustbin.
