very yes. RTTI and unwind adds an unacceptable size bloat on embedded. (in some cases). As does "academic" use of templates.

Reasoning about code that can throw is almost like COMEFROM. Instead, on any serious bad (oom, etc) process aborts and is restarted.

OTOH, lambdas for callbacks helps writing decoupled interfaces a lot.
