Isn't there a third way? make the PS versions of curl and wget adhere exactly to the original interface/specs?

Yes but I think the better solution is to fix the alias problem and then work with Daniel to make it super simple for people on Windows to get his latest/greatest bits. I've reached out to him to start that conversation.

That'd introduce the same kind of breaking changes and wouldn't fit with the PS model.

This would be difficult to do unless you can tell which alias you are coming from in `Invoke-JsonRequest`.
