Thank you for your honest answer. The article has a discussion that is good, careful, nuanced, and quite complete. It also has lots of links to related discussions, including talking about why - although this specific claim is "obvious nonsense" - there is actually some sense underneath it, although deeper than most people ever go.
If you're going to complain you should probably have an opinion on how to improve it. What title would you give such an article?
Then mightn't your time be more productively spent paying attention to your code you mention rather than commenting on articles you have not read about concepts you reckon you have no use for?
