"NaCL key" is a generic term, you can probably use them with libsodium, like you can use "PGP keys" with GPG.

By the way, libsodium has the same maintainer than dnscrypt (and Pure-FTPd) but he does not work for OpenDNS anymore (afaik he works for OVH, but libsodium is his personal project).
