Interesting preprint about a computability paradox in AGI.

It can be an exciting reading even for non-expert people since there is a non-technical introduction in the beginning with clear explanations about the result, the assumptions involved and their justifications as well as a reason why this result is novel (i.e. why it is not a simple application of the Halting problem).

(Disclaimer: I was not involved in the production of this paper nor know the authors of this paper)

Roughly speaking, Gröbner bases is used for symbolic computations while homotopy continuation is used for numeric computation of roots

Interesting math paper from Yuliy Baryshnikov and Robert Ghrist about the connection between hyperbolic geometry and the UX of Google Maps

Very good explanation about Remez algorithm: https://xn--2-umb.com/22/approximation/index.html

I think you'll enjoy Matrix Analysis and Applied Linear Algebra from Carl Meyer: http://matrixanalysis.com/

Almost every topic is illustrated with an application or illustrative example, and the applications are very interesting.

Just reinforcing that you are not a loser, but a worthy and loved person. Have a blessed weekend :)

Nice plenary talk from Ralph Merkle about the topic: https://youtu.be/yVX9Ob4SjGA

This is really cool, would love to see this sugar cube running Doom. But unless I'm missing something he doesn't say anything about how to go about building this thing?

Can I import svgs from my local files?

Thanks! Always wanted a PDF reader with these features :)
