Big news. Nice to see more details.

- They have GAS fees. (unlike say EOS which is free). - Not sure how they will make accounts anonymous? Knowing an account lets anyone query the account balance? - They will start with permissioned chain and transition to non permissioned

BTW, I use a private VPN server which can be setup on aws in a few minutes https://github.com/webdigi/AWS-VPN-Server-Setup

No logging on server side guaranteed. AWS could monitor but I do not thinking of that as an issue for my use cases.

No logging on server side guaranteed as it is your own server. AWS could monitor but I don't mind that

Ignore above, meant for another post

What happened to the core booster did that return?

It suffered a rapid unscheduled disassembly, unfortunately

5000 euros is just the start. There are plenty of software companies in Europe and lots of opportunities.

Long term pension, medical and schooling for kids, much more stable & much more opportunities than UAE. Taxes pay for themselves. However, in UAE with new vat and growing hidden taxes are high. You can even buy a house and it is like living rent free! The rents in Dubai are high and buying for long term is not recommended.

Longer term you can even look at moving to London if you like to stay in a English speaking country.

> As Bitfinex has become more and more desperate, they have listed more and more crypto-currencies of questionable value, such as EOS/IOTA/ETP and so on.

EOS and IOTA are legit!

London is got to be much higher for sure!

how do companies manage to serve up all the bandwidth for this for free? even storage will be costly at this scale right?

It says that the files will be removed after 24 hours, or after the first download, so I imagine storage requirements are not going to be completely unmaintainable. It's still gotta cost a bit though.

how does this compare to Tezos?

Tezos and zeppelinOS are very different things. zeppelinOS is building an operating system on top of the Ethereum Virtual Machine to provide secure infrastructure for the development of smart contract applications. A technology that is still being developed but used by thousands of developers, and maturing into it's next phase. Tezos is building a new blockchain with a different infrastructure altogether.

Millions of developers are working with Ethereum?

Thousands! Little typo over there. Hopefully soon they will be millions :-)

You can setup your own on AWS in 10 minutes for free 1st year. https://www.webdigi.co.uk/blog/2015/how-to-setup-your-own-pr...

I really don't feel like auditing this entire install script (https://s3.amazonaws.com/webdigi/VPN/Unified-Cloud-Formation...) but a quick glance leaves a lot to be desired. Weak authentication and crypto, lack of isolation mechanisms, etc. You're much better off with Algo, and it'll take the same amount of time to get it going.
