I would be down for a browser ableton suite that had all the stock devices and didn't have vst support. I think over time people learn that you can do 90% of what you need to do with just stock devices (although max4live support would be amazing)

I read this whole article in John Oliver’s voice in my head.

I’m a musician and a DevOps engineer so me?

Making my own music is fun for me so I’m gonna keep doing that.

I’m waiting for the discord IPO personally.

As someone with adhd I do.

I’m not affiliated with them but you should check out “brick” I just bought one myself. It’s an rfid device you have to tap your phone on to unlock and lock apps.

I usually “brick” my phone when I go upstairs to bed and unbrick it when I go back downstairs so I don’t scroll in bed.

Thank you! Will have a look

I agree with most of the commenters that only the executives and companies can provide the needs at the bottom of the pyramid and in the current climate they are not doing so. If you keep using MHON to make the case that middle managers have to fill in the gap Maslow would say you have to at least partially fulfill the needs at the bottom of the pyramid first before the higher needs have any effect and a middle manager simply does not have the power to do so.

I love that you equated company culture to motivation at scale. That hit the nail on the head.

While your team would still need to be involved creatively, I would hope the sphere has an in house team to create content as well?

I would assume so but that means the venue itself is then subsidizing the cost of the performance, which means the tickets/refreshments/etc have to be more expensive.

And like, I want to emphasize: this thing is extremely cool. I love shit like this. I wish we could have more really cool things like this. But when your entire thrust is to make money... I mean I wish them all the success in the world but you'll have to put me down as a skeptic if they'll be able to, especially given how razor thin margins tend to be in the entertainment sector when the venue can just host regular ass shows that any venue can.

yep, they have a team and a studio in Burbank, including a functional (internal) miniature of the sphere and an in-house camera system:

I noticed years ago that people treated me differently at work when I wore glasses.

I would do experiments and wear them for a couple weeks to a month then go back to contacts and observe the difference.

I work in tech.

Could you expand on the differences you experienced?

Things were blurrier without
