The cloud is great as the failure mode is statistically independent of the home backup failure mode. So both backups together if they have a 1000 to 1 chance of failing per year would give you a million to 1. You'd need to lose your primary data then hit the 365 million to 1 to lose all data.
It could be a big thing. If a trillion dollars is floating in stablecoins for shopping use then someone is getting billions in interest holding the real cash.
Monitor is more for daytime. You want them in a quiet room to sleep while you get stuff done elsewhere. Being with the baby 24/7 is a beautiful idea but not always practical. Of course, never leave the house with baby or young child at home.
RF baby monitors surely existed before 1989. But yeah at some point we didn't have modern stuff. We survived without paper, sneakers, etc.
Roughly (from lay understand) LLMs predict what their training data would say. They are first trained on "the internet, etc." so they can predict words well, e.g. finish off "Paris is the..." then using human feedback they are trained further to work in chat mode and be non-offensive, concise, be pleasant etc.
