Looks great, I built a similar too but shuttered it after a couple years. I was able to get a few good domains in 2008 but once pre-emptive bidding on expired domain services like snapnames came around, it was much less useful.

I recommend adding a feature to filter domains that contain numbers/hyphens.

Thanks! I'm definitely planning on adding some more filtering options while keeping it as simple as possible. I'm currently considering using some other lib for the table too, as the one I'm using only allows sorting by single columns.

What is even more impressive is that there are only a few active cell phones in North Korea that aren't Android powered.

I see some decent potential here for domain typos. Domain parkers would love to be able to locate some high volume unregistered domains. It doesn't look like you have a page just for the most common typo'd domains across all domains. Is that a pro feature? If not, it should be.

Also, Good shit, Chris!

It's a feature that I've considered, but I don't have the computing resources on this server to do that many whois lookups to determine registered vs. unregistered domains yet. It's high on my list of v2 changes though.

I believe most people in the name spinner business use a cached zone file rather than doing live lookups. Perhaps look in to that.

Thanks for the tip!

I support abolishing all patents, not just software.

This is a great app. I have a similar site that is more curated but less searchable: http://www.scoratic.com

What are you built on?

Can someone explain to me this guy's fierce/aggressive loyalty to Apple? Is he an employee or own a large amount of AAPL?

I've always wondered that myself. I don't understand when brand loyalties reach the level of religious fervor.

I hope people don't see this and think it was the same submission that was put up when Fred Wilson first published his piece. This is a great comment to that post and offers more helpful information than the original post.

Why is this headline phrased as a question?

The preferred app to answer your question: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

Well, then it's down for everybody!!!

ummmm, huh? They've always compared OSX (which only run on a handful of Apple exclusive devices) and windows OSes in the exact same way. No market share report I've ever seen phrases it as "iphone vs android OS". It is always iOS phones vs Android OS phones or iOS tablets vs android tablets. I don't understand what "truth" is being uncovered here.
