I don't agree that textual, fictional explicit content involving minors is "fairly universally considered harmful". Such content is allowed on large platforms like Archive of Our Own or Japan's Shosetsuka ni Naro. I think "don't think it's harmful, but not willing to defend" is a pretty typical attitude.
"Evaluations by expert testers showed that o3-mini produces more accurate and clearer answers, with stronger reasoning abilities, than OpenAI o1-mini. Testers preferred o3-mini's responses to o1-mini 56% of the time and observed a 39% reduction in major errors on difficult real-world questions. W"
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini get everything correct except who is holding the bucket. Even the QvQ attempt in your screenshot would have seemed like complete magic a couple years ago.
Probably was fake, but if it was real, not very smart of him to have it take so long. Should have been an immediate upload so people could download it.
Maybe he was thinking they would leave it up so police could use it as potential evidence.
It would have been a thumbnail of a magnet link to a torrent if anything
I'd be shocked if someone used normal social media to distribute something like that. Meanwhile, drugs and warez and pirated content have developed a well known, well supported, internationally censorship resistant ecosystem.
From the font and awkwarding positioning I'm guessing the date was overlayed on the video with a script or something (i.e. "two days after whenever this deadman's switch gets triggered")
Shane Carruth (Primer) released interesting scripts for "A Topiary" and "The Modern Ocean" which now have no hope of being filmed. I hope AI can bring them to life someday. If we get tools like ControlNet for video, maybe Carruth could even "direct" them himself.
This exists already actually. Kling AI 1.5. Saw the demo on twitter two days ago, which shows a photo-to-video transformation on an image of three women standing on a beach, and the video transformation simulates the camera rotating, with the women moving naturally. Just involves a segment-anything style selection of the women, and drawing a basic movement vector.
This is pretty clearly a joke: "Really, I don't really wash my hands ever. Germs are not a real thing. I can't see them, therefore they not real. I can't get sick."
That would presume that I would even entertain the idea that he was making a joke and not being dead serious. Like Trump suggesting internal application of chlorine bleach should maybe somehow work against Covid-19.
That said I don't know the entire scene and what came before nor after nor do I follow what this person does and thinks usually.
Interesting, I didn’t know the context. They’re not blameless though, with all the conspiracies they’re in bed with it’s hard to tell what’s a joke anymore.
The Republican Party Platform says: "We are going to close the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. and send it back to the States, where it belongs, and let the States run our educational system as it should be run."
Trump also mentioned it frequently in his speeches: " 'I say it all the time, I’m dying to get back to do this. We will ultimately eliminate the federal Department of Education,' he said in September during a rally in Wisconsin. "
That platform has some puzzling things in it, like saying that if they win the White House and majorities in Congress they will quickly "Fight for and protect Social Security and Medicare with no cuts, including no changes to the retirement age".
That's puzzling because every time in the past few years that anyone in Congress has tried to take up addressing the projected insolvency of the Social Security trust fund in ~2033 Republicans have rejected any approach other than raising the retirement age.
