Those sound effects were added in post, right?


I think they got the crash sound from the onboard camera equipment, and the engine sounds from outside cameras. Then mixed it together with tense music for dramatic effect.

It makes perfect sense in terms of a PR Win-Win situation: Facebook gets the "crypto currency" credibility, Coinbase gets more PR (and more crypto buyers) in general.

Nope. I clicked "Download This Paper" several times, and nothing happened. But then, I don't have an SSRN account, so that's not too surprising.


Fun thought experiment:

1. Release video to police (with obvious shots of driver/passenger/whatever not paying attention to the road)

2. Investigation reveals accident was caused by driver/passenger/whatever reaction

3. ????

4. Profit (PR win/rescue)


Even Uber couldn't be oblivious enough to consider this a PR win.
