We're still experimenting with different pricing models to figure out what makes the most sense for our clients. We typically pass the hardware expense through at cost and charge an all-inclusive monthly or annual fee per deployed device for the SDK, payment gateway, unlimited transactions, unlimited support, etc.
One upside of using CardFlight is that clients can shop around and pick whichever processor they want for the lowest rates, easiest integration, best service, or whatever reason they wish, while using the CardFlight SDK for an easy technical integration. Our clients/developers can even work with multiple processors in parallel, or switch processors down the track without having to rebuild their back end.
CardFlight is hiring in NYC for full stack/mobile developers and an enterprise sales/BD lead.
Mobile payments: by developers, for developers. We give mobile app developers the tools, infrastructure and support to easily incorporate credit card payment acceptance into their own apps.
Why CardFlight?
- We just closed a round of VC funding and are growing from 3 of us to a team of 7. You'll work directly with the founders to help build the future of our company without getting lost in the crowd.
- An energized, yet casual/fun work environment.
- Budget and time-off for professional development (conferences, workshops, tech meet ups, etc.)
- Competitive pay, equity, vacation time, and lots of cool perks.
- Opportunity to grow and develop your career in an early stage startup.
- Work with some of the latest and greatest technologies around.
- Mobile payments is one of the hottest spaces for startups right now.
Most of the app developers we're working with plan to use CardFlight for sales of real world goods/services, which are usually OK within App Store guidelines. The typical use case is where CardFlight is installed on a merchant device and the consumer's card is physically present at the time of purchase. For example:
- An event management and ticketing solution. As part of their event management app for checking guests in, they will give event organizers the ability to seamlessly sell an event ticket from within the app.
- CRM apps looking to handle field sales while keeping the payment and CRM solution integrated.
- Non-profit/fundraising apps looking to take donations on the spot.
- Tablet POS software developers looking for an easy way to integrate payments (without having to do their own hardware SDK integrations, building secure/PCI-compliant payment handling from scratch, processor integration, etc.)
