I'd be much more impressed if they released one that was the same size as the PS2 slim; that might, maybe, come close to being worth the price.

It would still be a bit to pricy for me, but I can see the logic. Either get the old model, at a reduced price, or get the new slimmer version at the old price. I think many would take the new model in that case, while some of those who have been waiting for the price to drop would pick up the old model at the reduced price.

Lots of PS2 games look similar, too with lots of games with colour palettes being variations on the theme of brown. So I'm not sure it's a new thing, but I do get what you mean when you see the "Triple AAAAAAAAAAA" game of the day.

> our most advanced and innovative console hardware to date.

This is a bit hyperbolic - there's no way a PS5 iteration is more innovative than the hardware in the PS3 or even 2, unless it suddenly stopped being an AMD box with a slightly funky system architecture.

That sentence (from Sony) read too much like an Apple keynote prompt.

Never understood why people get upset at generic marketing lines in press release.

Yes, WhatsApp works perfectly fine (including notifications) on plain Lineage - even without microg.

It doesn't integrate with Lineage's backup system though, you have to use WhatsApp's own transfer system.

Yes, although it is much more active in robotics. York still has quite active research into evolutionary algorithms and genetic programming (https://www.york.ac.uk/physics-engineering-technology/resear...).

It's been used to do things like find design parameters (https://pure.york.ac.uk/portal/en/publications/evolving-desi...) and attempt to evolve robots to fit an environment (https://www.york.ac.uk/robot-lab/are/)

Just as a note, since 2017 it's cat N for Non-structural damage: https://www.bikerandbike.co.uk/cat-b-s-n-motorbikes-new-insu...
