I just saw GitHub Projects for the first time as a result of this link. It looks like it has several of the key features of Asana, which is the project management tool that my very small web publishing consulting firm uses.

I noticed that Project Boards (https://docs.github.com/en/issues/organizing-your-work-with-...) visually look a lot like the Board view in Asana when I'm working in a project based on the IT Project Plan template.

In terms of whether companies that are inclined to use web-based project management tools would drop what they are using and adopt GitHub Projects, I think the most likely candidates to do that would be companies where a great deal of the creative work already flows through GitHub and a huge percentage of the staff is in GitHub for some reason every day.

I don't think we would adopt this for work with clients. To the extent that our clients have GitHub as part of their toolset, the only people using it are software developers and engineers on the system administration - devops continuum. Our use of Asana is for things like project communications and high level time management, i.e. when will we hit a milestone.

HOV lanes, special toll lanes, driverless vehicles, new alternative means of transportation that never quite materialize, etc., don’t cut it and never did.

Yes, I agree, given the proximity to that news.

The late Zig Ziglar, a great motivational speaker and life coach before that was a thing, often said, "You cannot be a wandering generality in life. You must become a meaningful specific."

Giovanni Rose is more than halfway to where Zig Ziglar would want him to be. Now he needs some luck, which may have come to him in this opinion piece by Aditya Chakrabortty.

For those of us who have made it to a level where momentum takes us to more good things rather than further along a path of obscurity, maybe we should read this story and consider if we've done everything we can to help people we've met who have the potential to be like Giovanni Rose, but have not yet articulated what makes them meaningful.

My reaction to this article is that I believe the Alexa platform represents one of the few where Amazon.com has an ecosystem with the depth that Apple typically when their respective products reach maturity.

That was my first thought when I saw the CT scans of the AirPods: where is the canonical URL for this, and where is the archive of previous analyses?

Lower Mainland Secessionists-- this is your moment!

Right now homedepot.com and the APIs that drive their mobile app are down too.

Apple News has the complete article at https://apple.news/ANRRWdjsrPEW3QIouD9dSnw. (I subscribe to Apple News+ through Apple One. Not certain if it's free for everyone or just for subscribers like me.)

Please, do not link to a paywalled article with another paywalled service.

Note: Just to be sure if you didn't knew. It doesn't work :)

It's helpful for people like me who subscribe to Apple News and not to every outlet independently. Saves from double-dipping.

After some recent health developments, I'm very happy to see this one moving along!

With all due respect, this is not the cited article. I'm sure you mean that when you said "alternative". Thanks for sharing that BTW.

I want to use Apple Pay wherever possible, because I find using Apple Pay on my Apple Watch at retail point of sale to be incredibly convenient.

I use Apple Pay all the time at Wawa, Wegmans, Target, and Apple stores, as well as some fast food and quick serve restaurants. I generally can't use Apple Pay at Home Depot or Walmart.
