"What is vaccine-derived polio?

Oral polio vaccine (OPV) contains an attenuated (weakened) vaccine-virus, activating an immune response in the body. When a child is immunized with OPV, the weakened vaccine-virus replicates in the intestine for a limited period, thereby developing immunity by building up antibodies. During this time, the vaccine-virus is also excreted. In areas of inadequate sanitation, this excreted vaccine-virus can spread in the immediate community (and this can offer protection to other children through ‘passive’ immunization), before eventually dying out.

On rare occasions, if a population is seriously under-immunized, an excreted vaccine-virus can continue to circulate for an extended period of time. The longer it is allowed to survive, the more genetic changes it undergoes. In very rare instances, the vaccine-virus can genetically change into a form that can paralyse – this is what is known as a circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus (cVDPV)."

EU is a lot of countries. The government of Denmark (for example) did a study 2012 which failed to show how fake CP would lead to actual harm.

The US on the other hand is a different story. In 2005 one man was convicted to 20 years imprisonment for hentai. In 2016 a man was convicted to 10 years imprisonment for owning a coloring book.

Wikipedia has a few more cases in the article "Legal status of fictional child pornography".

The rate of infections are very diverse in Europe. In Scandinavia it is extremely low, they test the chickens several times during their lifetime and kills the whole flock if any of them is contaminated. Until they joined the EU all eggs were "washed" which removed other unwanted pathogens. The EU forced them to accept unwashed eggs and allowed them for the time being to continue selling washed eggs. Most other countries does not use such draconian methods to their farming and the washing of eggs removes a thin membrane which gives some protection from salmonella travelling between the eggs.

First table, named "Implemented Exchanges".

That table does not make the point raised here, which concerns a specific consequence of Bitfinex being the only exchange you can currently short bitcoin on. I would provide the specific quote, except it is already in the post that you replied to.

It as never been illegal to perform nuclear research in Sweden. Between 1988 and 2006 it was illegal to perform preparatory actions for building nuclear power plants (in addition to actually building them, after the 1980 referendum vote). It was commonly referred to as "tankeförbudet" (a pejorative term, close to "illegal thoughts"). The law was removed 2006, one of the reason was this common misconception.

However, ABB created and exported (among others) the BWR90+ during the nineties, proving your statement wrong. You can read about it in the newspaper about how it iw popular to study nuclear power again (article from 2010). http://www.dn.se/nyheter/politik/karnkraft-hett-pa-universit...

Well, just 400 days ago it was down and didn't get back up for at least 200 days. I thought it was gone and am glad it was reposted.

I use links all the time for HN. It works extremely well.

And quite honestly the man page of bash is quite readable, under invocation. http://linux.die.net/man/1/bash

It is by design!

Upgrades between LTS releases are not enabled by default until the first point release, 14.04.1, scheduled for July. It is recommended that most LTS users wait until then before upgrading to 14.04. You could add a '-d' flag if you're in a hurry!

I used the '-d' flag and the release that it showed was the development release. I tried to proceed with the 14.04 development upgrade, but the upgrade failed.

Drop of activesync meant google don't have to pay a license fee. But your right, the world revolves around you.

They dropped caldav too.

Google have not dropped support for CalDAV. It's still available, you just have to fill out a form first.
