Exactly. The only difference is the layers of abstraction.

Has there been any blind tests on analog purists? I have a few hardware synths myself but I have them for their tactility.

Only thing I find that hasn’t been successfully recreated in digital form is hi hats. They lack something bite or depth.

If you’re talking 909, then there’s a reason why - the high hats on the 909 were samples lol :)

Nah talking 808 and 606s really but that said I still think the tr8s hats don’t match the original for whatever reason.

Sadly you’re right. Listen to Jeff Mills’ “The Bells” where early on during the bar he tweaks the open high hat. Even though it’s a sample, somehow I’ve never heard that slur replicated digitally.

And that’s another example - I really like the TR8(s) but once I got NAVA I was blown away at the sound - I wouldn’t doubt it’s also something to do with the DACs

Ok then let’s not recognise her

Or, let’s focus on the story of the real hero’s of D-Day instead of trying desperately to make history fit the current narrative

Those stories have been told, and will continue to be told, long after we’re gone.

Because he’s the worlds oldest 14 year old boy

With exceptionally more impact, both good (I’d say net good) and bad.

What "exceptionally bad" things has he done? Has he killed anybody? Stolen candy from a baby? Framed somebody for a crime?

Exceptional modified the quantity of impact, not the quality of good or bad.

Am sure you could make the argument that misleading FSD have killed a bunch of people.

Tesla's instructions say to keep one's hands on the wheel. (I don't have a Tesla so haven't read them myself.)

We’ll need to circle back

This is pretty interesting. Can’t help but he reminded of all the times I’ve done acid. Having been deep in ‘fractal country’ a few times I’ve always felt the psychedelic effect is from my brain going haywire and messing up its pattern recognition. I wonder if it’s related to this.

I have a pop science understanding of neuroscience here. Im reading this as they’ve found a brain wide pattern of connectivity to determine if someone has a likelihood of adhd. Am I interpreting it correctly?

I’m not familiar with pharmacology of salvia but taking it is quite dangerous compared to other hallucinogens.

A number of my friends had terrible feelings and were freaked out for about a week afterwards. Similar stories are found on erowid.

It is interesting though. Do you know if there is a name for this particular area of neuroscience?

There is not, it would just be general neuroscience. I'm unaware of specific labs either. Google would be your best friend in terms of trying to find specific researchers and in reaching out to them.

Thanks for that. Don’t often laugh at a comment
