Looks like nobody in China, Russia or Africa are getting xmas gifts this year..

Woah - I didn't even know a leaderboard existed!

These are all pretty standard. No surprises.

This is really interesting, thanks for sharing. I love this kind of transparency.

Im surprised how transparent this is. Halfing response time on a system that large is no easy task.

Neuroscience and game theory are buzzwords in economics. Check out this lecture from Professor Ariel Rubinstein who argues that economics is a culture and not a science as espoused by his neuroeconomist colleagues. Link is here.. http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/knowledge/business/rubenstein/

...another article about the app. Looks like they're going to try and compete with Etsy, Fab, and Gilt. http://www.ecommerce-platforms.com/articles/shopify-releases...

Very nice

Hacker News in particular loves Stripe

I think it's because they've taken the aggregator (Paypal) model, gotten rid of the off-site checkout and made it really appeal to developers and technical folks through the API's. The website almost reads like a wiki. It's a really neat idea and I think it will gain lots of traction in that community.

Good article, but the whole payment industry is moving toward all-in-1 solutions like Stripe. Much easier than messing around with finding a processor AND a applying (and locking into a contract) for a merchant account. IMHO.
