Deciding which textbooks that are going to be used in public schools isn't banning books. If you don't want the government to decide which books are used to teach your children then homeschooling or private schooling are what you should be focused on.

obviously false. Some philosophically-minded mathematicians may well agree with that, but certainly not all. And as for the "average" professional mathematician who never thinks about that stuff, they would not at all agree with OP.
I believe mobile devices use active scanning instead of passive because it reduces battery usage. It reduces battery usage because it means the wifi radio does not need to be listening constantly for beacon frames.
